Bharath Belliappa Photography is a site featuring the work of an Indian photographer, focusing on travel and nature photography, as well as assignment work. His self assigned projects have taken him across India attempting to capture a small part of India through his images. These projects have led to photographing remote places in Ladakh ,Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh, as well as places closer to home, like Kerala and Pondicherry. Currently his work on photographing Indian landscapes is focused on a small district in the southern part of Karnataka called Coorg, with plans to travel further down to the southern tips of India, and go back to Ladakh for a more comprehensive and complete documentation of the region.
Formally trained in photography at Ooty,other areas of interest include capturing images of people. This has led to a project for Chershire Homes Coorg, an organisation that deals with disabled people.
Bharath Belliappa has also been extensively trained in studio photography, areas ranging from product,fashion,automobile,industrial,architecture, and fine art. These skills and wide exposure to different fields of photography have helped shape and continue to shape his images.He works with both digital and film depending on the conditions and requirements.
